Family Fathers Day hosted by Kim and Lorenzo

Arn't those techie toys great.

Jack and Luke enjoying some techie time.

Lorenzo and Charlie trying to decide the wine selection.

Rob , Krystal and Kim catching up.

It took awhile to order, the menu was only one page, but so many good choices. The six hour pork bolonese was the favorite.

Tara making suggestions.

Yes Krystal is old enough to drink, and pizza is still her favorite.

Sibling smiles, so nice to get together.

Baby Doll, yes she is the cutest and most lovable Baby Doll in the world. Mom's  pretty cute too!

Danielle and Brad, we met Danielle's Family yesterday at Brads for a BBQ. What a wonderful girl and what a wonderful family. By the way they can grill a mean Ahi.

I know , it feels so cool to rock a missing tooth. I miss those days.

Dad  Lorenzo, Son Carlo and his beautiful wife Tara....Happy Fathers Day

Ok, so let's get this party started the food is on the table the wine is from Kim and Lorenzo's vineyard in Italy and this Italian restaurant near Little Italy has it on their wine list. Bella Barbera!!!!

Bon Apetit , at least I think that's how you spell it. Anyway everyone loves to eat and chat.

Luke took a break from his nap to chow down some Bolonese.

Nothing like being surrounded by your loved ones.

Ok, today the family and tomorrow Sea World.

Paula and her four kids, first picture all together in many years.

A nice end to a great day.

BBQ at Brads with Danielle and family.

Brad, Paula, Danielle, Steve, Samantha, Deb. We had a great time getting to know  Danielle's  family.  We  just relaxed and had a beer and wine, chatted while Brad grilled some Ahi and Danielle and Sam made salad and sauteed beets, then for desert berries with whip cream. The Hills live about 40 miles from Chicago, in a nice little city, Steve is an electrician and Deb has a couple of hair salons and they raised two beautiful girls as you can see.

Hey the guy in the green shirt actually appeared in a picture. It was a perfect day .  So  as  we  make our exit, they are all going for a walk at the beach, which is about a block and a half away, I'm sure it was a nice sunset and walk because it was beautiful. Danielle thanks for sharing your family with us, and Brad thanks for the BBQ and good times.

Paula's Birthday Chicken Dinner.

You guessed it , chicken wings for appetisers.

Oh, Fried catfish, collard greens and braised cabbage. Yes I ate it all and asked for seconds on the collard greens, this place is great.

Paula's birthday dinner , fried chicken, collard greens and black eyed peas on rice.

There's the birthday girl, what you don't see was the fried shrimp, excellent.  The waitress was great and so was the sax player , nice dinner out. We took almost all of it home and hat two more dinners .

When we got home there were flowers at the front door from Sandy and also from Rob and Shannon. The velvet cake was a gift from the restaurant.

Brad takes us to Lunch for Paula's Birthday

Dani, having dessert, chocolate and vanilla ice cream with carmel popcorn.

Brad and Dani, as Brad thinks " Holy Crap" how could the bill be that much?

It was a nice lunch and visit, Brad and Dani play soccer on co-ed teams, we're making the trip to SD to watch them play soon. Dani played in college, had a soccer scholarship so it will be fun to see if the guys can hang with the girls.
Some nice pictures of The Harbor.

We take walks here two or three times a week.

Paula is walking a mile and a half now.

Her goal is to make it all the way around the Harbor.

this is the tribute to all those lost at sea.

This is Mr Pelican and he has about ten brothers and sisters and they are so fun to watch  dive in the water and catch fish.

A tribute to the fallen at Pearl harbor.
Paula's working hard to make it all the way around the harbor , that would be three miles.

Time to say good bye to our Little Man!!!

Sad news, our Little Man Alex went to the groomer on Valentines Day and had a heart attack while he was getting a bath. They took him to the Vet where they put him on oxygen for 4 hours but he just didn't rebound.

He loved to travel with us , he had his own booster seat so he could see out the window from the back seat, or the front seat when it was just him and Daddy.

Soaking up some sunshine, on Rob and Shannon's deck and hanging out with Gracie.

His famous tongue.

The look of love and admiration, Alex was about as close to the perfect lap dog as you could imagine. He was a great snuggler, he always had to be in contact, so he would back his butt up against my leg and go to sleep, then when I got out of bed he would go to Paula and snuggle and recently he started getting under the covers with Paula. We had a wonderful last week with him, as if he knew he was about to leave. He would crawl up on our chest and just lay there with both his paws streched out and look at us with total admiration. Alex is buried under a beautiful Pine tree atop a hill with an outstanding view and lots of green grass, a place that is very fitting for such a loving soul, I will visit him often.

Are you still on that computer?????

Ok.... that's enough, let's go to bed!!!!!

Beach Shack Chicks

Paula and Pam , if anyone is wondering who has the scoop on Paula it's Pam . Paula  and Pam have been  scissor sisters  for at about 12 years now, yes they were 22 then. By the way Paula has some pretty juicy stuff on Pam also. I do get to listen in somewhat, but they also send me out to the truck to read a book at times, or send me to pick up a latte. I'm sure you've all heard Pam's name at least once or twice, now you have a face to go with it.
